Open to Opportunities

Hi, I'm Yu-Lun (Jason) Yeh

Applied Mathematics MS student specializing in computer vision, deep learning, and quantitative finance. I turn mathematical ideas into practical, data-driven solutions.

Turning Math into Impact

I'm a master's student at National Sun Yat-sen University, pursuing Applied Mathematics with a focus on statistics. My thesis research centers on survival analysis and copula-based dependence modeling.

Beyond academia, I actively build projects across computer vision, deep learning, and quantitative finance — from implementing Vision Mamba architectures to constructing financial network models. I'm passionate about bridging rigorous mathematical foundations with practical engineering solutions.

I'm currently seeking opportunities in data science, machine learning engineering, or quantitative analysis where I can apply my cross-disciplinary skill set.

Research & Work

Master's Thesis Research

National Sun Yat-sen University • Sep 2024 – Present
  • Developed a novel inference framework for Cox proportional hazards models incorporating ordinal markers and copula-based dependence structures
  • Built end-to-end analysis pipelines in R and Python for simulation studies, statistical estimation, and model validation
  • Conducted Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate estimator performance across varying sample sizes, censoring rates, and copula families

Academic Projects Portfolio

Self-directed & Coursework • 2023 – Present
  • Implemented state-of-the-art architectures (Vision Mamba, Transformer, DDPM/DDIM, YOLOv10) across 10+ projects
  • Covered 4 domains: Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Statistics, and Quantitative Finance
  • Built an AI-powered portfolio website with LLM chatbot integration to showcase projects
